Dr. Shi is the vice hospital president of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in charge of Otorhinolaryngology, the director of rhinology department, standing member of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, deputy of Rhinology Group of Chinese Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Society.

He is also the editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, deputy of rhinology review group, vice chairman of Guangdong Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Society, a professor of Ophthalmology Center of Sun Yat-sen University, one of the famous doctors of Sun Yat-sen University, Lingnan region, Chinese Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and one of the top 10 doctors of nasal endoscopic surgery.

He learned from Prof. Shen Xuerong (a famous otologist), Prof. Xu Jintang (a famous ophthalmologist), Prof. Xu Geng (the founder of nasal endoscopic surgery). Dr. Shi is one of the first experts who practiced clinical research of nasal endoscopic surgery, an expert of nasal endoscopic surgery for sinus, nose and eye and nose-skull base surgery. He has independently completed 8000 nasal endoscopic surgeries. He highly specializes in treating refractory sinusitis, nasal inverted papilloma, nasopharyngeal angiofibroma, cerebrospinal rhinorrhea, skull base tumor, optic nerve injury, high intraorbital pressure, chronic dacryocystitis, intraorbital tumor and others.
