Zhang Yalin

Dr. Zhang has been a clinical specialist for over 40 years, with over 30 years' experience in university hospitals, and most recently at Clifford Hospital.  In 1996, she was promoted to Professor, Chief Physician, and Master Mentor. In 1997, she was elected as committee member of the Digestive Disease Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.  Dr. Zhang also served as a committee member for liver cancer research in six Chinese provinces. Her specialty focuses on digestive ailments, and caring for patients with complicated digestive disorders. Additionally, she is adept at diagnoses and treatment of cancers in the gastrointestinal tract, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas via chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and interventional therapy.

Dr. Zhang has engaged in clinical research since 1984, and was the superintendent and lead researcher of 5 provincial-level projects. Over the past decade, she was either a member or a tutor in 5 municipal-level scientific research projects. She has been awarded provincial awards for scientific and technological progress seven times. 

Dr. Zhang began in the Digestive Department of a medical university in 1984, teaching four large classes over two semesters each year. Her experience has allowed her to mentor junior doctors, graduate students, and interns, including instruction on diagnosis and treatment for patients and routine operations (endoscopy, laparoscopy, interventional therapy, etc.).

Dr. Zhang has published over 30 papers in various journals home and abroad. She has served as chief editor for three academic texts, and an assistant editor for another.
