Traditional Chinese Medicine

According to the theories of traditional Chinese medicine, health preservation refers to preserving body condition to maintain good health, prevent disease and prolong life. The key principles of health preservation in Chinese medicine are “preventing disease before its occurrence” and “uniting heaven (or nature) and man”. Here are some health preserving methods.

1.Meridian-collateral health preservation--to stimulate acupuncture points and collateral channels through acupuncture and massage--a practice based on the theories of Yin-yang and Five Elements.

2. Traditional herbal health preservation is to take herbal soups made from herbs of different properties and effects.

3. Daily health preservation also means to keep a regimen in all aspects of routine life, including diet and exercises.
