Hemodialysis

Healthy kidneys clean the blood and remove extra wastes and fluid in the form of urine. They also make substances that keep body healthy. When the kidneys are no longer healthy to work adequately, hemodialysis is needed. It is a way to treat kidney failure and can help patient carry on an active life despite failing kidneys.

Hemodialysis is the extracorporeal exchange of water and solutes between blood and an artificial solution termed dialysate, across manufactured semipermeable membranes. This exchange allows for the removal of metabolic waste products or toxins from the blood and correction of fluid, electrolyte and acid-base derangements.

Hemodialysis Center at Clifford Hospital is equipped with international advanced hemodialysis facilities. The water treatment system is imported from DWA, Germany; it can offer high quality water to hemodialysis patients, which can prevent dialysis complications. In addition, the Center has Hemodialysis machines, hemodiafiltration machine and CRRT machine as well as high-flux Polysulfone dialyzers to guarantee the patients' comfort, ensuring sufficient and stable dialysis service of high quality.
