On November 5, the Specialist Cooperation Signing Ceremony and Hospital Management Forum of Guangdong Clifford Hospital were held at the hospital's International Conference Center. At the event, Guangdong Clifford Hospital signed specialist cooperation agreements with the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, and Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, respectively, to jointly build a high-level specialist collaboration platform. Leaders, experts, and industry peers from health authorities, universities, and medical institutions attended the event.

Professor Peng Linji, Founder and Lifetime Honorary President of Guangdong Clifford Hospital, presented an overview of the hospital's development in his address. Established in 2001, the hospital has grown into a Grade 3A integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine hospital integrating clinical care, teaching, and research, with a capacity of 3,000 open beds. It was the first medical institution in China to receive JCI international accreditation and the first private hospital in China to obtain CIHA international certification. The hospital has long been committed to exploring non-public medical service models and serves patients from both domestic and international markets.

Leaders from the Panyu District Health Bureau, the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, and Jinan University delivered remarks. They recognized the hospital's achievements in advancing integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine services and expressed the expectation that the hospital would leverage this collaboration to further strengthen discipline development and enhance clinical service capabilities, better meeting the healthcare needs of local residents.
The agreements define the direction of multi-specialty paired collaboration: the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University will collaborate in orthopedics, neurology, medical imaging, and ultrasound; the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University will collaborate in gynecology, emergency medicine, and cardiovascular medicine; and Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine will collaborate in gynecology and nephrology. Drawing fully on the extensive disciplinary foundations of the three leading hospitals, the parties will conduct in-depth collaboration in clinical diagnosis and treatment, consultation and referral for complex and critical diseases, advanced training of high-level talent, joint research on scientific projects, and GCP training, thereby comprehensively promoting the efficient exchange and complementary advantages of high-quality medical resources. The hospital stated that this signing marks a new starting point for the coordinated development of specialties. It will leverage cooperative resources to continuously enhance specialist diagnostic and treatment capabilities and provide smoother channels for patients in the Greater Bay Area seeking care for complex and critical diseases.
Following the signing ceremony, the Hospital Management Forum was held. President Zheng Xiaofei of the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, Director Liu Dayue of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and Vice President Chen Bolai of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine delivered presentations on discipline development, AI-enabled healthcare, and the development of specialty disciplines with traditional Chinese medicine advantages, respectively. Vice President Ou Junwen of Guangdong Clifford Hospital introduced the hospital's practice of leveraging its strengths as a Grade 3A general hospital to extend medical services within and beyond the province, expand into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and reach international markets through whole-life-cycle health management.

Going forward, Guangdong Clifford Hospital will steadily advance the implementation of specialist collaboration, standardize medical management, and strengthen specialist capabilities. The hospital will seize the opportunities presented by Greater Bay Area development, focus on deepening the two frontier areas of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance and innovation and cell and gene technology, consolidate its foundation for high-quality development, and strive toward its goal of building a century-old renowned hospital.
