Dr. Yang is a visiting scholar from National University of Singapore, deputy director of Head and Neck Surgery in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and standing member of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Society of Guangdong Medical Association.

He specializes in diagnostics and therapeutics of allergic rhinitis, inflammatory diseases and benign tumor of nose and sinus, and adult and pediatric obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and so on. He is especially the expert in treating inflammatory diseases and benign tumors of nose and sinus, and nose-cranium, nose-eye, and nasopharyngeal diseases with minimally invasive endoscopic transnasal approach.

He is a current editorial board member of Therapeutics and Clinical Risk Management, Chinese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and International Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He is in charge of 13 national (2 national science projects), provincial and municipal research projects; has published 60 research papers (15 SCI papers in international journals like New England Journal of Medicine and over 30 papers of popular science); has acquired 7 National Utility Model Patents and coedited 3 monographs.
